PAINTING HOLIDAY ITINERARY
ARRIVAL DAY - On arrival at the airport you will be met by a representative from MonteMare Ltd and taken to Sa Lumenera then on to lunch at a local restaurant. Following this your tutor will give you an introduction to the course. Dinner will be taken at the hotel.
DAY 2 - After breakfast, the course begins in earnest with demonstrations and instructions from your tutor. After lunch there will be an excursion to see the wall paintings and murals at Tunura and Sennariolo which are a tradition in this area of Sardinia and later a chance to taste the locally made malvasia and honey. Dinner will be held at a nearby restaurant.
DAY 3 - This will be a full day excursion to the beautiful mountain region of Monteleone and the small village of Padria which nestles in a volcanic crater. A chance to capture ancient Roman ruins, older nuraghic structures and beautiful churches. Lunch will be taken in the local area and will be an added experience!. Plenty of opportunities to sketch and explore, returning to the hotel for a speciality dinner.
DAY 4 - Today, as a complete contrast, a visit to Bosa Marina or the old town of Bosa under the guidance of your tutor, returning to Sa Lumenera around 4.30pm. This evening will give you the opportunity of making, spinning and eating your own pizza! Under the tutelage of a specialist Italian pizza chef you can learn the art of preparing an authentic pizza in a wood-fired oven.
DAY 5 - A full day excursion to the beautiful marina and old town of Alghero, with its cobbled streets, battlements is our destination for today. Returning to the hotel around 5.30pm to a speciality dinner.
DAY 6 - Exploring the surrounding area of Bosa and Bosa Marina is the agenda for today. Time in the afternoon for an exhibition of your works and a celebration dinner of wild suckling pig!
DAY 7 - Today is a free day for you to relax and revisit places you will have fallen in love with! Take a packed lunch and return to Sa Lumenera for a farewell dinner. There will also be a demonstration by Steven Capell our food artist!
DAY 8 - Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
Throughout your stay, there will be explanations, demonstrations and ‘chefs’ secrets’ and ‘how do they do that?’ sessions, along with recipes of dishes you have tasted.
